Read your poetry, a page or two of your novel, tell a joke, or play a song. All creatives are welcome to this Open Mic Night at The Coffee Bar next door to the Bookshop on March 2. You'll have up to 7 minutes to "do your thing." Sign-up begins at 6:30, and we will start at 7:00.

In May 2011 Hub City collected and distributed more than 3,000 gently-used childrens books for summer reading to children at three Spartanburg city schools. This year, thanks to a grant from the Mary Black Foundation, we will expand the program to five schools and intend to collect 5,000 books.
